Q&A 23 June 2026

I missed the 18 June 2026 KBLI migration deadline and my OSS account is blocked — what now?

Our PT PMA in Bali didn’t get its KBLI migrated before the June 2026 deadline — honestly we didn’t realise how important it was. Now we can’t update anything in OSS, our NIB looks suspended, and our operations manager’s KITAS renewal has stalled. How serious is this, and what’s the order of steps to fix it?

First, don't panic — but don't wait either. A blocked OSS account is a deteriorating situation, not a stable one.

Why it happened. The deadline to migrate your OSS business profile to the KBLI 2025 structure was 18 June 2026. Codes were split, merged and renumbered, so companies that didn't migrate — or migrated incorrectly — now have an out-of-date profile that the system blocks. Often there's more than one cause stacked together: a failed migration plus a couple of missed LKPM reports plus a licence that lapsed in the confusion.

Why it's hitting your KITAS. This is the part that surprises people. Work and investor KITAS read from your company's OSS profile. When the NIB is suspended or the data is inconsistent, immigration processes that depend on it stall — so a paperwork issue becomes a visa problem for your management and staff.

    The recovery, in order:

    1. Audit your OSS profile, KBLI codes, licences and LKPM history to find the exact cause.
    2. Re-map your activities to the correct KBLI 2025 codes — carefully, so the new codes preserve your foreign-ownership ceiling and don't create a new risk-level or licensing problem.
    3. Clear the backlog of any outstanding LKPM reports and lapsed licences (the system won't fully release the account while obligations are open).
    4. Lift the suspension through OSS and restore normal functions.
    5. Restore KITAS eligibility once the company profile is healthy again.

If a KITAS renewal is time-critical, flag that first — we triage those. You can see the full scope on our KBLI 2025 Migration & OSS Recovery page. Send your company details and we'll start with the audit.
